My work for our community
Put yourself in the shoes of others
We have approximately 135,000 people living in the Cherwell District in communities that range from large towns to rural villages. The constituency covers the complete spectrum of society from the needy and disadvantaged to the wealthy.
As a local councillor I have worked hard to help make our communities fairer and safer, for a society where people whatever their economic status and political views have access to good quality public services as well as an equal voice in the way these services are run.
I want to help people both young and old to have faith in the future and the security of knowing that their voices are heard and that their problems will be acted upon fairly and equally by the people who represent them.
I do not have a personal agenda and therefore have never felt that I know better than anyone else what is good for people. Instead I am prepared to listen, seek advice, and then work on the guiding principle that in politics you have a responsibility to put yourself in the shoes of others, especially those who are affected, when deciding how to act.
In the My work for our community pages of the website are brief reports on some of the key issues in which I have been actively involved. Please select the topics from the menu on the left.
