Bicester Community Hospital

The town really needs its new hospital offering the whole package of services including NHS in-patient beds, a primary care centre, a minor injuries unit which could be updated to an A&E department especially when one considers the road traffic accidents on the M40 between Junctions 9 and 10, and the A34, a sorely needed NHS dental service, not forgetting the ever increasing demand for dementia and respite care facilities which are no longer available locally. In an ideal world a maternity unit within a new community hospital would be at the heart of any blueprint to accommodate a growing population just ask the ‘Bicester Babies’ who can speak from personal experience.

These are valid reasons that highlight the need for the south-west Bicester development because the location has ample room for future expansion that would allow for the above facilities to be built in any new enlarged NHS community hospital.
